Abstract

Bullying in elementary school environments is a social problem that has serious impacts on children’s psychological, social, and academic development. This phenomenon should not only be understood as individual behavior but also as a public policy issue, particularly in the context of child protection and basic education governance. Schools, as public institutions, play a strategic role in translating child protection policies into daily practices. This community service activity aims to strengthen students’ and school stakeholders’ understanding of school-based public policies in preventing bullying behavior at Sungai Bahadangan Public Elementary School. The activities were conducted through socialization, interactive education, and simple mentoring to students regarding forms of bullying, its negative impacts, and the role of schools in creating a safe and child-friendly environment. The results indicate an increase in students’ awareness and understanding of bullying prevention, as well as the emergence of collective awareness about the importance of a safe and inclusive school climate. This activity is expected to serve as an initial step in strengthening the implementation of anti-bullying public policies at the elementary school level
