Abstract

The low level of tax literacy among the younger generation is one of the factors contributing to low taxpayer compliance in Indonesia. Students as prospective state officials and the nation's next generation need to be equipped with tax knowledge from an early age to build strong tax awareness for the future. This community service activity aims to improve tax literacy, awareness, and tax compliance among students of the Public Administration Study Program at FISIP UNISKA through participatory training methods. The activity was carried out in March 2025 with 75 student participants. Methods used included lectures, group discussions, tax return filing simulations, and case studies. Pre-test and post-test results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, from an average score of 52.4 to 81.7 (a 55.9% increase). As many as 89.3% of participants stated they were more motivated to compliant taxpayers after participating in the training. This activity proves that training-based intervention is effective in shaping tax awareness and compliance from student age.
